Forcing Visitor to Select Product Attribute

Hi,

Is there a way in PS to include attribute entry such as "Select Color.." in the drop down list of the attribute instead of just the value? The reason is to force visitor to actually choose the attribute.

You could remove the attribute altogether and add a required custom text field (BO >> Catalogue >> Current Product >> 5.Customization) and list the available colours in the item description.

Thanks for the link, it helps a bit.
If I were to do it a little bit further by setting all my default attributes in attribute group to "Please Select" and disallow people to choose it, how can I modify the script?
