left column Left Column Help!

Hi using PrestaShop 1.6.1.17

I have recently took over the management of a website, feel like a real noob here but here goes lol...

 

take a look at the screenshot of the front end of the website, the top 4 graphical banners are linked to specific categories.

How do i edit the end URL or these banners and/or remove them.

I can gain access to Brands, Categories & the specials block but just not these custom banners added by a previous developer no longer in contact with the owner.

The is another 4 of these banners on left column at the bottom they contain the social links but again a link is dead and needs updating but i can't for the life of me find the codes within the theme files on FTP. Nor find the settings within the back end.

 

Any help lol?

Hi,

For management left column. You must manage on Prestashop module. 

1. You need to identify the module which output the banner. Go to Back Office > Modules and Services > Positions

Search for text "left"

The you will the hook "displayLeftColumn". Test for each the module, from top to bottom.

2. After identify the module, you can go to module configuration to edit link & banner. 

If you can't find the module, please provide your website url. I may help you.
