Changing installation path of prestashop

Recommended Posts

The new prestashop web-store was set at mysite.com/new Please tell me how can i then change the address of the shop to mysite.com? This must be done in the settings of the prestashop control panel, or somwhere the configuration files?

Go to the Preferences tab and change the "PS directory" from /new/ to / then click Save at the bottom. PrestaShop will then start looking in the root directory for the files, which will cause your site to break. Use your FTP client to move all your files from /new/ to / and everything should work again. If you are using friendly URLs, you will also need to go to Tools > Generators and click "Generate .htaccess file" to correct the path in the .htaccess file.

Yes ist work, but I have problems with products and crashed theme. Backend my html-editor desappeared and also the Theme fronted is crashed...

I did it how described: rename at preferences / (old) to /shop (new) and than moved all files and folders to /shop. Generated a new .htaccess, but no change.

How can I correct this ?
