[SOLVED] Problem with Prestashop

Recommended Posts

hi all, i dont know if theres anything that can be done but i'd thought id ask.

I currently can not log into my admin panel athough i know the password is correct, so im not sure if anyone has changed it or anything :?

Well anyone, its linked to my googlemail account so i clicked 'lost password' but after waiting one hour, still nothing has come through.

I'd tried again but then it says i have to wait 360 minutes, 3 hours!!

Is there anything i can do??

Many thanks

Ryan

Hello

Recently I have thought of something similar and I have worked with the help of this post. You have to access the table of the database which stores the password and change it. To generate new looks in http://www.md5.fr/.

The post is as follows: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/39918/P15/discusin_general/procedimiento_cambio_de_password.

Hope you can help. I do not know if this is well written and I used a translator.

Good luck and greetings

papuki

Dear Simpson7647

what is the path of your prestashop admin

make sure the file is placed in your root admin folder, so if you root admin folder is called yourshopdomain.com/admin your place the file in the admin folder the you go to the URL yourshopdomain.com/admin/newadmin.php

hope this helps

ok that is it, now login to your hosting account and find that folder called "manage" place the file i sent you in that folder and then go to the following URL

http://www.protectandenhance.co.uk/manage/newadmin.php'>http://www.protectandenhance.co.uk/manage/newadmin.php

you will see a screen what wil ask you for name email and password once you filled it in and sved it you can go back to : http://www.protectandenhance.co.uk/manage

and login with your new details.

make sure to delete the admin file once you have acces to your store

Thanks. I stumbled onto the answer to my problem.

I thought the path to my administration was (for example):
http://www.myshopsname.com/administration/

...but it turned out it was:
http://www.myshopsname.com/~username/administration/
(username was assigned by my hosting provider)

Once I figured that out, I was able to log in and add a couple of new administrators for myself to give me some peace of mind.

The newadmin.php file worked just fine, but I was puzzled for awhile because I thought it was going to send me a confirmation e-mail to the address I typed in to verify I'd actually done something.

Had the same problem and followed these instructions exactly, but the admin login window just keeps coming back to me.

Hello dear all,

I am new to Prestashop too, and I have read GaryB's later reply, my URL was right but I just keep seeing the login window even after trying to register more new accounts through newadmin.php.. Please help me :( Really hope to finally see my back office interface..
