kauri
Hi, The GST/Vat/Taxes does not Recaculate after using a price increase in the combinations tab, any help or fix for this? For the time being, im manually adding in the GST to the price increase, but this does not give accurate Tax on the Order form.CheersKauri
tomerg3
This is how prestashop is designed, the price impact is including tax.I'm personally not a big fan of this method, and I have release a Tax Modification that displays the tax in a separate line, and also changes the attribute impact price to be excluding tax.Check out http://www.presto-changeo.com/prestashop-modifications/15-taxman.html
tamarillojohn
HI Kauri, I take it you are a kiwi like me!!!I too am confused with the tax aspect in Prestashop, by the time you have prced a product, lowered it for a special, added a combination size that increases the price, added shipping and then gift wrapping, all of which have options for tax inclusive of exclusive, the final price is seldom what i calculated before I started. It would be better if all prices included your default tax and then a separate line in the invoice shows the tax component , the balance being the total purchase amount (including shipping, gift wrapping, size increase) excluding tax.Since most countries tax is applies to all goods and services, they would all be taxable. The main requirement of all IRD government departments is that the total tax content be shown on any invoice. So it makes sense to suck this out at the end of the transaction and not for each component relating to the transaction. Clear as mud? lol
kauri
Yeh it needs to be changed imo, really annoying seeing as GST is going up to 15% in October, so ill have to change all my combination price increases manually >.
tamarillojohn
was wondering that too Kauri, most of my combination are just colours, so no price impactI picking if i change my existing tax code from 12.5 to 15% it will change all my prices, but will no round them properly.I will create a test site and apply it and tell you what happens
