nat
Hello and thank you for this forum that will be of great help. I tried for 2 days but without success to create a product in English and French. I create the product in French, save it and then duplicate it. Then I make the changes in English, click on the language selector to go from fr to en, then save. And there, nothing happens. When I come back on the product, it stays in fr and not in English. So on the front office both versions appear. Thank you for the help you will give me.
musicmaster
I am puzzled what you are doing. You should have one product and assign two languages to it. When you have installed the two language in your shop you should see a language selector like in the image below. With that you can switch to the other language and set things for that. nat
Thank you very much for your answer. Already, I do not have a language selector for the text. Only for the title. If I create a product in French for example, I record it. Then I want the same product but in English, I duplicate it and attribute it via the English language selector. This is the procedure ?? thanks again
musicmaster
In 1.7 the switch has been centralized
nat
Ok , so it's strange for me, The switch is on right to the title and when I use it , nothing change. Do you think my problem come from prestashop ?
musicmaster
If you insert a product it will copy the language you insert to all other languages. The same applies if you insert a new language. So initially all look the same. So try to change the switch and add different text for different settings.
