Display color combinations on categories

Hi guys,

I'm trying to do a very simple thing:

Display products and all their different colours combination in my categories. Basically a pair of shoes in 3 colors should show all 3 colors as different products. It is what 3/4 of shops do and I believe it's an essential feature for users.

Problem is: How to do that? I'm willing to modify my code myself (I just need some guidance), or install a simple plugin that does just that.

Any idea on how to do that.

PS: I've looked pretty much everywhere on the forum and couldn't find a viable solution yet. If I find one I'll post it here.

Many shops just do it as actually different products, so every color variant is a different product, not an attribute.

Thanks, but then how do they link products together on the product page? we want customers to be able to change the colors there.

I am mesmerized by the absence of answers on this forum Prestashop. I'm a newbie and I got maybe 2/3 brief answers to all my 10 / 15 questions...... I know it's an exchange, and I haven't helped people much, but even those whom I try to help don't answer to my comments.

I've been looking for this colour problem on categories for days and nothing exist?? Not even a plugin compatible with 1.7...
