Move multiple categories to a different parent via backoffice

Hello all,

I am working on a shop that has a lot of categories up to 6 levels deep. There is a new need that has aroused and I need to clean up the categories a bit and make them up to 4 level. I would like to move multiple subcategories to a new parent and then remove the categories that are not needed. All of this has to be done without me losing any products in the process. Is there an easy way to do so via the backoffice without me having to go one by one the categories and choose the new parent?

You can use the CSV import tool for that.

Export the categories you need, keep the ID and Parent Category columns and in the latter add your modification.

I was just wondering if there was a backoffice module that could do that instead of me handling all the categories via CSV import.

Do you know if something like that exists?

This functionality should be there by default in Prestashop I think. I don't know why it isn't.
