Creating your store and keeping it private before launch?

Is there a way to work on setting up my store without it being public just yet? I want to add products and set everything up but I don't want it to be public until the store is launched (competitors are watching....) I don't want the product pics and descriptions visible until I am ready. I hope you understand what I mean.

Yes, in the Preference tab, put it in maintenance mode, and enter your IP address, it will be available only to you...
