Issuing a refund and credit slip problem

Recommended Posts

A customer has returned some of the items from their order for a refund, but for some reason its not giving me the option to create a credit slip for the order or refund just some of the items from the order. See the screen shot below

They only wish to be refunded for 2 of the items and are going to keep the other item so the fact i cant issue a refund for just the 2 items they wish to return is causing me a problem.

Other orders have the ability to issue refunds for individual items and generate the credit slip. see this screen shot

I usually generate the credit slip so that i can pass it on to my accountant so need to be able to do this.

I have tried changing the order status to see if this would enable the fields for refunds but none of them seem to make any difference.

Help please

UPDATE: It appear the ability to do a part refund and issue the credit slip is removed after you have marked the order as delivered as all those that are still showing as shipped or preparation in progress i can do a part refund on.

I need to change this as customers can still return items for a refund upto 7 days after its been delivered. Ive had a look in the preferences but cant see any option that can be changed

I'd also be interested to know if there is an option for this? Maybe on the newer versions? I am only using v1.0.1 (something like that - it's definitley an old version) and when customers return goods I need to be able to deduct return courier fees and/or a restocking fees.

At the moment I just have to email my own credit notes but this is far from ideal as they obviously don't show in the customer control panel area.

Thanks
Scott

Hi Scott,

Was wondering if you had managed to find this to work. I'm looking for the exact same thing. Will be great if you could help.

Thanks

Hi Peanut

Unfortunately I haven't yet found a solution to this. I'm looking for someone to do a complete site upgrade for me but it's difficult finding somebody able and reliable!

If you find anything I'd be very grateful if you let me know.
