Dear,

When i installed the SSL on the cPanel, after a while i see a blank page with 500 error.  Even i can't login in my admin to change that again to default.

What to do please?

I changed already some tables in MySQL databse from https:// to http://  but still the same.

This is urgent please !

Thank you,

Dave.

There are two entries in the ps_configuration table where SSL handling is set:

PS_SSL_ENABLED
PS_SSL_ENABLED_EVERYWHERE

You can reset them in phpmyadmin or use the shop rescue function in Prestools to do the same.

Hi musicmaster,

I did reset it already both in phpmyadmin to value '0'. But still same problem.

What you mean with the rescue function?

And should i remove the full domainname in the field 'PS_SHOP_DOMAIN_SSL' ?

Because I make it empty right now.

restore your database back to before you started changing things trying to fix this problem.  Then, ftp to your site, backup .htaccess file (your whole site should be backed up so this shouldnt be an issue), and then delete it from your site.  Also, while you're there delete your cache, by deleting all folders in /cache/smarty/compile and /cache/smarty/cache.  Then try getting to your BO via the old url, not using the https one.  If that doesn't work, try getting to your BO via https.  After that doesnt work, edit your ps_configuration table and set both PS_SSL_ENABLED and PS_SSL_ENABLED_EVERYWHERE to a value of 1.  Then try getting to your BO via the https url.  Someplace in there you should get it working.  DO NOT change your PS_SHOP_DOMAIN_SSL value, it needs to be set just like it was, NOT blank.

The are a few troubling things in your question:

 - installing SSL shouldn't affect your shop at all - as long as you don't force it to use it. You can do that forcing both in the backoffice and Cpanel. So check what you have done in Cpanel.

 - Do not change http into https in the database. Everything should work ok without such operations.

 - It may well be that you error is not related to SSL at all. The first thing you should do when having a blank page/500 error is to check out what caused it, To achieve that you can either look at the php and apache error logs or enable Prestashops development mode (https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/224525-how-to-turn-on-error-reporting-for-debug-information-blank-page-500-internal-server-error/).
