Prestashop Product Errors

Hello Members, i once built a prestshop site for a friend some time a ago and left it under his management since he said he could do it, after showing him the Hows. But he recently contacted me complaining of some error on all the product listings. When a product is clicked, lets say you want to buy a product and you click on it, a error shows up on a blank page.Below is the error.Could anyone help with that cuz i tried updating with no success.

Your question misses essential parts:

 - what Prestashop version is this about?

 - did you or your friend recently install new software or update existing modules?

 - what is the url when you have the error? We don't need to know the website but we do need to be sure about on which page you are. This could be both a product and a cart page.

 - are there other problems on the website that might be related?

 - this doesn't look like a Prestashop page. Not even a blank error page. Try to go to your PHP error log to see whether there is anything there. Have a look at the source code of the page in the browser.

Your approach to the problem seems rather problematic to me:

 - Updating Prestashop is a risky process that quite often goes wrong and for which you for that reason are advised always to make a backup of both the files and the database. I would never use it to overcome a problem unless I was quite sure that it indeed might help. 

 - Prestashop has bugs. But this is obviously not a bug. Something has gone wrong in the database or the file system. Comparing with a freshly installed testshop of the same version and with the same installed modules is often a good way to find out what that might have been.

 - Often problems are caused by modules. So a common approach to solving them is by disabling modules one by to see whether one of them caused the problem (don't forget to empty the cache each time). On the Advanced Settings-> Performance page in the backoffice there is also a button that allows you to disable all non-Prestashop modules.

-Version of the shop is PrestaShop 1.5.6.3

-No software was installed and no modules updated

-This error happens to all the product pages and the url of the product page does not change. When a product is clicked to view more details about it, the error shows up

-This is the hardest of errors i have seen from a prestashop shop
