Remove of 'Powered by' does not actually remove it

Recommended Posts

Hello
I used the search to find how to remove the 'Powered by' from the footer links.

However, even though I have commented the last list out, it still appears..
I am in the correct file on the server,

/modules/blockvariouslinks/blockvariouslinks.tpl

and it looks like this now:

I have refreshed my browser, tried all other browsers out there to test if it was browser cookie related issue, but I still see this on my site, and what's more, when I look at this with firebug, I still see the last list, just as if I have not been configuring the correct file. :bug:

@greentomato. Did you fix it? if yes how ? I deleted the file and reloaded, deleted the smarty cache and also the browser cache and file remains like untouched...

Yes I fixed it by the way mentioned before: you must empty tools/smarty/compile - except index.php there.

Argos, Im trying your suggestion but it doesn't work for me. Can you tell me how to take away "POWERED BY..." from the footer?

Thank you!

if you delete from blockvariuslinks.tpl, the Powered disappear. But sometimes the module is inside of your theme, for personalized themes. So, search in

themes/yourtheme/modules/blockvariouslinks/blockvaiouslinks.tpl and delete the powered by.

Thats all

Hi Has anyone actually been able to do this successfully?

On newer versions of Prestashop there is no /modules/blockvariouslinks/blockvariouslinks.tpl file or even folder.

Editing the CMS Block Module has a checkbox to disable the "powered by" but this does not seem to work.
