MZAF
Hi! Somewhere in June 2017 I installed PrestaShop 1.5 or 1.6 (can't remember right) and it had a FREE PayPal module that worked fine. I discarded that installation after a while to work on a completely new look/site. However, on my current site (that I installed not long ago) that runs 1.6.1.17, I am unable to get PayPal to work. There are 2 different FREE PayPal modules but they do not work. I get an error somewhere along the lines of "this is not supported in your country". I have a working PayPal account and, like I mentioned earlier, I was able to get a FREE Paypal module work for me on a previous installation of PrestaShop. (tested & confirmed, too) I see there are some PayPal modules I have to pay for, but what if they do not work too? Is ther anyway I can get that FREE module to work? I am not using the original theme. I have a different FREE theme installed. Thank You ZF
selectshop.at
As Paypal is now devided depending of the country in use it is removed from the core. You will find the module for free download on addons site: https://addons.prestashop.com/en/search?id_category=0&search_query=paypal Perhaps you are using own theme or wrong paypal module. There is one for Europe and whole world and one for US. I'm moving your question to the correct forum section.
selectshop.at
You can use also the official module of github: https://github.com/PrestaShop/paypal Just click there the button "clone and download". Discompact the module and upload ONLY THE CONTENT of the folder master-paypal to the folder /modules to a folder called /paypal on your FTP (modules/paypal). Than activate and configure from back-office. If you are having errors (activate debug mode), than please return them here, otherwise it is difficult to help with a general "they don't work".
bellini13
The "Paypal USA" module is no longer supported (it has not been updated in over 2 years. Consider it dead. The "Paypal Europe" module is now considered a "global module", but only for PS v1.7 https://addons.prestashop.com/en/payment-card-wallet/1748-paypal-braintree-official.html The product page states the following Version 1.7 of this module is available worldwide and versions 1.4 to 1.6 for the following continents: Europe, Asia, Oceania and Latin America, except Mexico and the US. Versions 1.4 to 1.6: For USA & Canada, please use PayPal USA & Canada module For Mexico please use Paypal Mexico module So since you are using PS v1.6.1.17, you might want to look elsewhere for a Paypal module.
