Dusty
Hi,I would like to hear from anyone using Google Checkout. I can't configure it to send shopping cart details. I sell clothing and need to have the product size and colour included in the order. Please advise if you have had success in configuring this module. All help appreciated. Dusty
Quite Amazing!! To date 94 people have read this post and not one has responded that they are successfully using Google Checkout. Says a lot for the functionality of this module!
LovePrestashop
I think only US and UK can use google checkout. So most people don't have experience with it.
Dusty
Hi thanks for your response. I was aware that GC is only available presently for merchants in the UK/US. Though customers from most countries can use it for purchases. There are a hell of a lot of Websites up and running in the UK/US and I'm sure there would be a considerable number using PS. What I am trying to find out is if any of them have successfully run PS and GC. GC is an excellent and well respected payment gateway. I have used it for over three years with an OS Commerce site and would love to use it with PS if I could only get it to work!! My efforts to find solutions in this forum seem to have run into a stone wall, so I am hoping to find someone who has succeeded.
handmade gift shoppe dot com
The only thing I know about GC is that prestashop requires xml, and GC requires https (aka security certificate installed on your website). Until I can afford a security cert, I can't use GC either.....
Dusty
Strictly speaking GC does not require https. I've never had an ssl cert and it's worked great for me for over three years. When a customer places an order with GC, GC sends me via email an order notification and the customer also receives an order confirmation. The notification tells me what has been purchased. Item name, size, color & a brief description. I then go to my GC Merchant Center where I process the order ie proceed with charging the customers card (all details hidden from me) after it has been authorized by GC. I then ship the goods and send the customer a shipping notice with the tracking number. Couple of days later Google deposits the money (less their fees) in my bank account . If you want GC to relay the information back to your website then you need an SSL Cert and your API callback url will then start with https. The problem I'm having is that everything works well except the size and color information is not being included with the order. Looking for assistance has not been easy.

I already have it coded, just need to test it.
Dusty
Keep at it. You are the only one who seems willing to sort this. I'm hoping to hear that you managed to get an order from GC for a "green" ipod! Dusty
