Thibaud Samson
Hello, You don't need the settings file before install, just make sure the writing permissions are set in your config folder.

Peter Wilson
Hi fourkas, Did you use a special character or a space when creating your PrestaShop password during installation, by any chance? There is a bug in the current build, 0.9.6.2, that prevents use of special characters (e.g., &§$%£°) or spaces in passwords. It has been fixed for the next release, 0.9.6.3, due out shortly. In the meantime, try creating a password using only letters and numbers and let us know if that gets you through Step 3.
fourkas
i get the new version, my pwd is not using specialcharacters , only letters and 2 numbers, but the same problem exits. !!!
