I would like people to be able to choose color:yellow and then name of town. Which happens to be a list of 750 names. It'll take forever to type one by one in.... Posted July 29, 2010 Share Posted July 29, 2010 So you want 2 attribute groups... 1 for color (with the color group) and 1 with the "name of town"?If so, I'm sure you already realized that for the "name of town" attribute group you have manually add each attribute that would belong to this group. Unfortunately, I do not know of any modules that would allow you to import your list of attributes. We have well over 1000 attributes spread across 7-8 groups... it took some time but we manged to manually input them. There is no way to do this by default in the BO (or any modules I am aware of)... just a thought, but maybe you could run a script to automatically import/input them into the database...??I know there are programs out there that will convert excel files (or other files for that matter) into mysql, and then you could import those into the appropriate tables in the PS database. To be honest, I'm fairly new to databases and can perform basic tasks, but I won't be much of help in this scenario. But hopefully it gives you an idea of what or who's help you should be seeking if you decide to take this route. Nonetheless, always backup your data.HTH!
