How do I delete order status types

There is supposed to be an arrow by the edit to delete the status type. Mine dont have it. Any ideas?  There are too many status choices and I would like a shorter list.  I am using  1.6

You would have to delete entries in ps_order_state and ps_order_state_lang.  I would backup your DB first!  I would assume deleting some will screw things up down the road.

You can only delete custom order states that you have created. 

You cannot delete the default ones, since Prestashop core is designed to use them, and if you delete them from the database, you are likely going to run into other issues down the road.
