Unable to access the MySQL content file - Step 3

Recommended Posts

Do computers reduce anubody else to tears?!

I'm a graphic designer, and have been asked to restyle a website built with prestashop. If I could only install it, I might be able to help.

My host is godaddy - and I have PHP 5.0.
I have modified the permissions as directed.
I have created a MySQL at godaddy, who in turn gave me a server name, user name and password.

AT stage 3 of the installation:

When I click verify now - success.

When I click next - "Unable to access the MySQL content file"

Not sure if this is of important note: but I have my files stuck onto a preexisting website in a prestashop folder

Any ideas please? I live in Laos, and this country has the best beer. One crate will be waiting here for you if you can help me!!!

I had the same problem - So I checked my local SQL folder files against what was uploaded to the server SQL folder files and found that there were 2 SQL db files missing.... which is kind of funny, because my FTP program showed that all the files uploaded successfully???? However, that was it.... I uploaded the files (didn't CHMOD them) and clicked the "next" button from step 3 and just like that I was in!!!

PATH TO FILES:

/install/sql/db_settings_extends.sql

/install/sql/db_settings_lite.sql
