hndesign
Hello all,I have been testing PrestaShop for a while and I am able to add products/categories through the BackOffice. Of course it is done by uploading one-by-one, which is painful.Could anyone suggest an easier way for large number of products? Is CSV the thing? Or do we have to do something in SQL (no idea how it work as yet)?Any tutorial on this will be great if we have to install thousands of products information with images/videos etc.Merci Merci.CheersHn Design. hndesign
Hello Andrey,There are so many fields for the CSV, e.g.# Active# Name# Categories (x,y,z…)# Prices# Tax rate# On sale# Reductions# Reference ## Supplier reference ## Supplier# Manufacturer# EAN13# Weight# Quantity# Short description# Description# Tags (x,y,z…)# Meta-title# Meta-keywords# Meta-description# Text when in-stock# Text if back-order allowed# Image URLs (x,y,z…)# FeaturesIt would be nice if we can have a sample file Microsoft Excel (CSV file).I am still unclear of some of the fields.Cheers.Hn Design

vdub
images are exporting too! ?? How are images imported through .csv ? In the list above it says Image URL's so i would presume that that you put in the product images in a folder on your server and then place the location and image name in the csv
cristian
Can anyone not only "presume" something and just try to see if it's working?! coz it's not! To many threads and nothing sure, not even a stupid example. Sorry guys from prestashop but this: http://www.prestashop.com/wiki/Importing_Product_Data/ it's not a documentation for all the complex work you did here. Great work, but incomplete ((
