rdminnaar
Hi Can anyone please help. frequently on my website when someone searches for an item it does not come up but the item is on my website. What I do then to fix it is to go to the backend of prestashop > preferences > search > rebuilt index and then it works but then a few days later I have the same problem on a different item. Any ideas ?
razaro
Hi Welcome to the forum and that looks like strange issue. Could you provide more info, like PrestaShop version, theme you are using ? Also do you add items often and do you have cronjob set to index them? And do you have some caching module ?
Casper_O
I don't know the solution, but i know the cause of it. It happens when you deletes a product. But Prestashop seems to think it is a "minor" bug http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PSCSX-8239 Edited December 4, 2017 by Casper_O (see edit history)
selectshop.at
Check here possible solution: https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/573134-search-index-keeps-getting-corrupted/?do=findComment&comment=2641474
Casper_O
@selectshop.at It is not a solution, please read the forge ticket I wrote....
selectshop.at
The forge ticket is same report as here. Your Prestashop simply does not reindex the auto search table automatically. It should be a server problem. I've tested on same Prestashop version and cannot confirm the bug you mention.
