Technical problem or hacked? no access to products in back office

Hi

 

I m very concerned I don t have access any more to any of my products or any product list neither stock nothing at all in back office for 4 days now.

From from t office everything looks fine, but I can t access anything in back office, can t change order, if I add new product it doesn t even appear, I have no clue what s the problem.  it looks as if all the data was gone! Could I have been hacked? What's the matter?

Sorry to hear you have those strange issues and hope you solve it.

But first you need to provide bit more info and background. Like what version of PrestaShop do you use,  do you have custom theme and modules installed. Also do you have employees with access or some recent developer. And what kind of hosting you have shared, VPS or dedicated server.

For permissions could you check in Administration > Employees menu what type of account you have. Should be SuperAdmin but that may be changed.

Well, I m using prestashop 1.7, with theme JMS mozar II, it s apparently not coming from the theme, cause I ve changed to classic theme just for 5 minutes to check if I d get back the access and no I didn t get anything back. I m using dreamhost...

but it seems that things have been changed slightly like the whole site has been reset or reloaded or something like that so I know something happened, I have a  guy that started working recently on things but he s not good enough to realize if he has damaged something or not, he said he didn t do anything...what could have happen? cause the products still show in front office so it means they didn t disappear from the data base, also if I do a research with specific name product shows, they just don t show in product list in back office! so I can t change nothing there. how to get them back?

Can you make a screenshot of catalog / product list page in back office ? So we get some clue of what is wrong.

Check if maybe there is some filter by category set  so no products because of that.

Also you could try to enable debug mode in Advanced Parameters > Performance and see if there is any error there.
