msk69
I'm looking into getting either a dedicated server or VPS. Mainly for fast performance and google results, and freedom of server configuration.the choice is between:Dedicated:Pentium4 3.0Ghz hyperthreading1GB RAM 2x 500GB sata raidFor a VPS i get for the same amount:VPS serverXeon Quad processor4096MB RAM 75GB my common sense tells me that a VPS with 4096mb of ram would be a better option against the 1gb ram of the dedicated.i'm now on a clusterhosting shared, and find decreasing speed when the database goes over a few hunderd megabyte.Any comment is welcome, as well as optimal PS server settings..Thanks,Marco
