Shipping error with digital products

Hi,
i've just uploaded our first digital product to test and all seems fine until we come to check out.

When we get to to the shipping page it's just a blank screen with "shipping" at the top, ie. no options to choose from so the customer can't progress to the payment page.

I can't find any other threads on this so any help is appreciated.

thanks, there's no error message and shipping works fine for other products including those with zero weight (ie. e-tickets that we sell).
it's only now with virtual products that the problem has arisen and i'm completely stuck with this one.

do i need to configure anything to set up the shipping of virtual products or should it just work as per normal items?

it's definitely a downloadable product problem.

i changed the weight of a digital product from 0 to 1 which should have meant a charge being applied but i'm still getting the same blank screen during checkout which works perfectly for all other types of product.

if anyone has any ideas please post.
