Problem with gifts

Hi, I have the following problem with prestashop.
I need to apply a rule in the shopping cart, which when purchasing N products, I do gift it 1.
With prestashop creating this rule in the cart happens that when I add N products and the customer gets 1 gift, prestashop only displays in the shopping cart the gift product and not the exact quantities.
When I update the page, the carriage shows the N purchased products and the gift product correctly, so the problem is in the shopping cart.
Can anybody tell me how to make the right quantity ... when you buy the product ... instead of just displaying the gift product?
