nickny
Hi all,I live in NY. I have an item for sale in my prestashop, for e.g. Iphone with a price of $200 in the backoffice. My problem is that when someone looks at the price in the front office, it shows it as $216 (assuming an 8% sales tax).I do NOT want the tax to show on the product item, I want to show it at the end of the order. Is that possible? For e.g. when ordering from Amazon this is what it showsItems: $1,020.89Shipping & Handling: $55.41Total Before Tax: $1,076.30Estimated Tax: $95.53Order Total: $1,171.83 Can this be done? dixie
I am in the US and had the same problem with state tax. Go to Prestashop's WIKI under TAXES - make sure you follow the directions. Also, do the following:In Back Office >> Customers >> Groups and click on edit icon. Then choose Price display method Tax excluded. After you make your edits, delete your cookies, then re-open your site to see if your tax is displayed correctly. If that fails, do a search in the forum for ideas on fixing the state tax - it can be done, but I'm not good at explaining how to do it.
