HTACCESS Redirect not working

Running Prestashop version 1.6.1.14

I am currently working on a new site preparing to go live in about a month.

Part of that move will of course be to ensure our existing Google results pages correctly redirect to the new site's pages.

I began testing some of the page today and so far nothing will redirect.

I have added the following redirect instruction to the htaccess file (located in root) right after RewriteEngine on:

 

Redirect 301 http://pilotflighthelmets.com/ballistic-cover.htm https://pilotflighthelmets.com/helmet-parts/30-ballistic-visor-cover.html

 

Yet it does not redirect?

I have many more redirects to add - any suggestions on what I am doing wrong?
