Problem with $base_dir after ssl configuration

Hello,

I've enabled ssl on my host and for Prestashop in BO (also enabled SSL on all pages in Prestashop BO), but I'm still getting mixed content error for my page. I've check that $base_dir is returning http:// not https:// in one module

Why is that and how to change it? I've checked, the urls in the module are not hardcoded...

$base_dir does not return https by design.  $base_dir_ssl should be used instead, or even better do not use either of them and instead use the Link class to create a proper URL to the resource.
