Alibaba
I am using 1.7.2.2 version of prestashop and started to import products via csv import button. I set the titles of products and started to import. First checked 1479 products and every thisng goes right. Program approved to import and started to add the products, when it comes to 205th products suddenly program stopted importing proccess. I checked imported products all was correct and well imported. I tried several times to import all products at the same time but whne it comes to same limit it stopted importing at all times. Then I seperate the product list into smaller number of product pieces but unfortunately whne it comes the same number it stoped importing proccess with no clue. There is no explanation of the problem, just writes error importing. Would you please help me to solve this problem immediately... thanks
selectshop.at
Check your server configuration. The reason why you cannot import more products is the memory_limit and the max_input_time and max_execution_time too low. Ask your provider to change the configuration as stated here: PS1.7 - https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/633857-server-requirements-for-ps-17/
Daresh
There must be something wrong with this particular product, maybe some character in the name or something.
Alibaba
Dear selectshop.at, I talked with my hosting company they informed me that it should not caused by the server limits. Also my server limits are as follows; memory_limit = 128Mmax_input_time = 60max_execution_time = 30 These are optimum values according to my hosting company So there should be something other than server limits for solution thanks,
selectshop.at
In contrary what your provider are stating, of course the problem is the too low set time on server: the importing script for about 2000 products needs about 300. You have a limit set to 60 and 30. This means 60 seconds for to write data on database and 30 seconds for to execute the script. Needed are 300, so not enough what you server is allowing. After 60 seconds no data is written anymore to database and after 30 seconds the script stops. Scirpts need to run till the end for to quit request as OK. So you will have an abrupt interruption after product xxxx and nothing more is written/executed. If your provider will not give you more than this, so you cannot host Prestashop there. First possibility is to import products by smaller steps. 50 per csv import or less if it not work. Second possibility is to change the webspace. Third possibility is to use Presta Store Manager for to import products directly into database, without time restrictions set on server. You can use this tool 30 days for free. Alibaba
Dear selectshop.at, Thanks for your kind response. I have already tried to seperate the whole list into 200 products per csv list and also 19 products per csv list. Unfortunately ıt didnt work either. As you requested for a second solution that you mentioned to change the webspace but I didnt understand how to do that my current webspace is unlimited. Please would you explaine that more detail. Now I will try your 3rd request to use Presta Store Manager for free. I will inform about the situation after trying that module. thanks
selectshop.at
The best is to change your webspace to a abetter one. You will have continuous problems to run Prestashop, not only with csv import. The problem is not the webspace unlimited, but the server configuration, which has restricted values. So you are running a Mercedes on a street which a speed limit of 20 km/h. Unlimited webspace is more related to the fair use traffic, but this is not related to the server settings restrictions. Alibaba
Dear selectshop.at, As you said we have several problems on running prestashop but the most important one is not importing products more than 200. I also tried the demo version of Store Manager module as you requested, but it did not work properly.Infact module did not import any single one of product. But I dont think it is caused by the module on the contrary module is amazing and I can suggest everyone to use that. And I am getting tired to set Prestashop to my e-commerce platform due to numerous problems I faced during webpage proccess. For instance, when I try to finish shopping (I mean when pass to payment section) I can load adress but after that "you have no proper delivery to your adress" warning appears although I configured right and local delivery company details. Localization folder already imported and configured but I still have the same warning. etc... Do you have any suggestion about zero problem hosting company with prestashop? or at least which hosting do you prefer? thanks
