0121stephen
Hi, I got the following error message: Warning! Your PHP configuration limits the maximum number of fields allowed in a form1000 for max_input_vars. Please ask your hosting provider to increase this limit to 3069 at least, or you will have to edit the translation files. I have updated the limit to 3069 and can see it through the following link https://matchafactory.fr/phpinfo.php I have also tried adding the line suPHP_ConfigPath /home/username/public_html to the htp access file but I am still getting error. Any suggestion? many thanks, Stephen
musicmaster
3069 sounds rather stingy. I suggest you take 10000.
bellini13
There are reasons this setting is set low, and your hosting provider may not allow you to increase this setting. You should speak with your hosting provider first, and if you are allowed to update it, change it back to 1000 when you are done with your translations. 0121stephen
I contact the host company who said the issue is with the software. Now I get the error Warning! Your PHP configuration limits the maximum number of fields allowed in a form 1000 for max_input_vars.Please ask your hosting provider to increase this limit to 1139 at least, or you will have to edit the translation files. I have updated the limit to 3069 previously. Not sure what to do. Is there another way to directly edit translations of modules. It is the paypal module that I want to specifically change. Thanks, Stephen
selectshop.at
You should update the limit to 10000 (ten thousand). If you cannot set this limit on cPanel, than try with own php.ini or add the value to .htaccess as described here: https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/237143-solved-translate-front-office-increase-max_input_vars/ Here you will find another tutorial with own php.ini: http://presto-changeo.tumblr.com/post/17589539698/understanding-phpini-how-and-why-you-need-one
bellini13
There is no issue with the software, the issue is that your host has likely restricted you from updating this value based on the information I already stated above.
