U18 for specific products

Dear All

I read several posts on this but no one really matches what I'm looking for.

I administer an online shop which has mostly products for everyone, but we also want to sell products which need a minimum age of 18. So a global FSK/USK check is not what I need as the products for everyone should still be available for everyone even if the age is unclear.

I guess there's no module yet which needs an age verification for specific products (not categories). So I thought about setting up an over18 customer group and go with category restrictions as proposed by another forum post. But how would I populate this group? It still needs some kind of module that checks the customers birth date or id numbers to calculate the age and then move the customers above 18 years to this over18 group.

Has someone set up something similar yet? Are there any modules you could recommend?
