pitzyn
Well.... I have been using PS1.5 and 1.6 for over 4 years with multistore setup. So I would say I do know how to configure this feature. Now I am doing a new project using latest PS 1.7.2.x with multistore. I have two shop groups set with one shop in each group: -. Group A with shopa.com (default shop) - Group B with shopb.com. Shopa.com (main Prestashop installation) is in server main folder (/). Shopb.com has been pointed on a DNS to resolve to http://shopa.com. Friendly url, etc is set correctly. When I go to http://shopb.com the browser gets redirected to http://shopa.com. With multistore shopb.com/adminpanel should work same as shopa.com/adminpanel. But in my case when I try to load http://shopb.com/adminpanel the browser says ERROR 404. On admin panel on the top of the screen there is small multistore drop-down menu showing stores name. On the right side of each store name there is a small ,eye' icon which is the link to each store domain name opened in a new browser window/tab. An 'eye' icons for second shop should go to shopb.com address. But instead, the second link (second store icon) goes to shopa.com which is the main store domain name. Realy PS Team. I do not know what you did wrong to such handy feature as the multistore is - But on PS 1.7.x.x it SIMPLE DOES NOT WORK.... Any help/ideas from the community??! El Patron
Hi, when you point domainb to main domain it has to be done correctly. domainb's domain name must be preserved upon entry to PrestaShop so it can resolve name to that domains resources. For those with hosting control panels, here's how: cpanel (park to main domain) in some cpanles they are adopting 'alisas' like plesk plesk (alias domainb to maindomain if you do not have control panel with domain alias/park you would need to set DNS as if you did. also when testing, use incognito windows

You need to change the root directory for shopB in cPannel to the same prestashop directory as shop A. What do you mean? I have the same problem. I have my main prestashop site located in www.tiendaprincipal.com ( physically it is in the folder public_html/tiendaprincipal.com, of my external server) and I want to create a new store tienda.tiendasecundaria.com , using an alias to the main site. But when I try to open the secondary store, it always shows the main store. What can be wrong?
