DFW Products
Im stuck at step 4. This has never happened before and I have installed prestashop hundreds of times. Any known issues with the installer?
rocky
It's probably a server configuration issue. What host are you using? Some hosts are known to have server configurations that prevent the installer working.
DFW Products
It was weird I have 5 stores up on the same server and configs. I deleted one to try to new release from fresh and rebuild the store to host a new product line and BAAM! it gives me problems. I figured out for some reason it thought my email was configured wrong so I unchecked email notifications and it moved on and completed. But for the record I use IX Web hosting, only place I can find that lets you put up to 8 SSL on the same server and gives ya free static IP's. LCapp
Hi, I have a similar problem; I also keep getting stuck at the step 3 system configuration. I am getting the message :"Database server was not found. Please verify the login, password, and database server name fields." However I have already set up the new database, and entered all the information correctly. I even called my hosting suport to varify the info that I was inputting. Any ideas as to what else could be the problem? This is my first time using PrestaShop, and I am of very average computer knowledge. Any advice or guidence anyone can offer would be super! pasko
Hi, As sayd rocky It’s probably a server configuration issue! Also there is often problems with free hosting, so be careful with free hosting!!
