That topic is hidden was hidden because it did not follow forum rules.

 

There is link though https://code.google.com/archive/p/activationbymail/downloads

but it is for older version of PrestaShop, 1.5. Also note that module had some issues

so use it with caution.

Yes the module was hidden, as it is unsupported since 2013 and it does not work for actual Prestashop versions. Latest working version is PS 1.5., so if you are unsing PS 1.6. or PS 1.7. it will not work - and there is no support of it anymore. In this case you should search for another module, or a paid coding service which can put it into run for you, if you cannot do it by yourself.

I'll see those and see if I can get them working in prestashop 1.6.1.X

 

I'm currently working with 1.6.1.14.

 

If I manage to get something to work, I'll come here and see if we can revive any one of those.

 

Where can we set suggeestions for implementation for Prestashop?

 

IMO, I think this feature should be available out of the box, I mean, in the base Prestashop software.

 

I'm not willing to activate this because of spam, my problem is that customers are able to register with incorrect e-mails and procceed to checkout.

 

Then the orders won't get payed because they just don't receive the e-mails.

 

Gladly I can get this issues by monitoring the store mailbox for smtp erros, but this can be completely avoid with some kind of module doing this validation.

 

Anyway, can some admin send me the code on that post to see what I can do with it?
