[Solved] Image upload problem gives exec() error - custom php.ini needed

Recommended Posts

The only other topic like this was tagged as solved but sadly I have another question.

My problem is like the earlier one:

"I received the following message:

Warning: exec() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/rainbowt/public_html/presta/images.inc.php on line 82

I searched the forms and googles for similar situations; This led me to contacting my host, and they said the server had recent security upgrades, may could have caused this; They got me a custom.ini file and it’s fixed :]"

I have been given a custom php.ini file but I have no idea:
a) where to put it (so that all directories that need it can find it) and
B) to know what value should have been changed and
c) to change it if it hasn't been.

Until this is fixed I'm stuck so any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks....

Solved.

Right, if like me you've been trawling the internet, I can at least answer WHERE your custom php.ini should be place - in your admin directory (admin123 if you've followed the instructions to the letter).

That will then solve the issue (due to settings of your host).
