BO Product Page not saving any text or other info 1.7.0.5 - 

 

The issue

 

When editing a product it doesn't save the information I just entered when clicking "Save" it shows the GReen Saved Tab but nothing gets saved.  It just reloads the page without the information I just entered.

 

Other info

 

All caches, on prestashop and on the server are disabled. I have tried using IE. FF. Safari Chrome browsers but no avail.

 

Any suggestions

Same problem here with PS 1.7.2.3.

 

This problem appeared after updating from 1.7.x to 1.7.2.3.

Another strange thing: on the BO product page the spinning wheel in the upper-left corner does not stop spinning. And a "1" is showing... see screenshot.

 

Anyone got an idea what this is about?

EDIT: the product info thing was about the length of the short description. You have to set the length under settings -> product settings (sorry, I'm using the German version, don't know the exact expressions). Otherwise it won't save more than 400 characters AND when the short description is more than 400 characters it won't save your long description neither.

 

The spinning wheel thing is still there, I opened an issue about that (sorry, did not have to do anything with the description problem):
