nogram
Hi, I need some help. I have upgraded my Prestashop from 1.6.1.15 to 1.6.1.16 in localhost where everthing seems to be working fine. I have installed it online and it seems to be working ok, except the module menu in BO. When I try to open the module, this error appears: [PrestaShop] Fatal error in module file :/home/xxx/public_html/classes/module/Module.php(1361) : eval()'d code:syntax error, unexpected '[' Can someone tell me what type of error this is and how to correct it? Thank you. Edited September 7, 2017 by nogram (see edit history)
Scully
Post all error messages related to this error condition - not only the one. My guess is your PHP version isn't compatible with your prestashop. That is one reason we always recommend not to test on localhost but instead in real environment with exact same specification and setup as in live-setup / production. nogram
Thank you for the reply. Your suggestion is correct in localhost it is always difficult to reproduce the same environment. In fact it was a php version that had to be updated from php 5.3 to 5.5. Thank you

TomPuja
Hei, I tried uploading the module which I believe had a requirement for higher PHP. As I result I cannot access the modules section on the backend anylonger. How can I remove that module (which was in fact not even installed, just uploaded) without upgrading the PHP? Thank you very much in advance!
