Broken quantity adjust in the basket

Hi!

 

I have a problem with my recent PS1.7.2.1 install which i thought must be a problem with a recent theme install but I just reverted back to the classic theme and it's still occurring.

 

With an item in the basket, if you go to the checkout screen and try to adjust the quantity using the up and down arrows then something in the code is breaking and the buttons disappear. It doesn't seem to be saving the quantity after the change and it reverts back to the original quantity in the basket. Is anyone able to tell me what's happening please?

I've found that this is only occurring with products that I have imported using the CSV file import feature. If I create a new product then I can select the combinations no problem. Any idea what it could be? A lot of my products are going to have combinations and I really don't want to have to manually copy all information to new products. The duplicate feature seems to carry the bug with it.
