bonsaiko
Hello, I'd like to know how I can setup minimal quantity when the product has combinations. I know how to do for a "simple" product, but once I had some combinations, the field "minimal quantity" seems to disappear... Could you please help me ? Thanks
Scully
for PS 1.6.1.xx - it's available in the combination tab. Choose one combination => edit and then it's the second last field in this tab. Each combinations has its own minimum quantities. bonsaiko
Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately, I made a change on only one combination (because my products has a lot of them and I didn't want to change them all) and it's not working... I even reindexed and emptied the cache but it's still not working... Any idea ?
bonsaiko
Actually it seems to be stuck to the former minimal quantity...
bonsaiko
Finally I found out that the minimal quantity is retrieved from the table products. But when I update combinations in the admin, there's no effect... Isn't it strange ? Why prestashop doesn't take my settings in combinations and instead retrieved the value from products table ? Any idea ?
Scully
I tried to update and it's working for me. Different quantities for each combination. Tested on PS 1.6.1.13.

Knowband Plugins
Finally I found out that the minimal quantity is retrieved from the table products. But when I update combinations in the admin, there's no effect... Isn't it strange ? Why prestashop doesn't take my settings in combinations and instead retrieved the value from products table ? Any idea ? Hi Bonsaiko, We have tested the same for v1.6.1.1 and v1.6.1.11 and we found that quantity of any combination can be changed independently. We can look into your issue more precisely if you can let us know the Prestashop version you are using. It would be great if you can provide us with some supporting screenshots. bonsaiko
Finally I found out what the problem was. It was related to another plugin that was installed, and was in conflict. I managed to fix the issue. I still have a question though: I was able to make changes to the minimal quantities of my product. But the minimal quantity that is displayed on my product detail page, is the quantity that is stored in the product table. And I don't know how to edit this value. When I create a product, I can add a value for the minimal quantity (stored in product table). But as soon as I add product combinations, I have no way to edit this value... Could you please help me ? Thanks
bonsaiko
Any help ? Please ?
Scully
You got quite some support for your issue. But your information is rather weak and poor in order to help with more details. We even don't know your exact prestashop version in use.
bonsaiko
If you said so... If you carefully re-read the thread you'll see that I did a lot of research on my own and I actually ended by finding the answer by myself. But anyway. I'm using version 1.6.9 Let me rephrase my problem, maybe I was not clear enough: I created a product, I setup the miniaml quantity (let's say to 20). Then I added some combinations, all of them also have minimal quantity setup to 20. When the user goes to the product page, he can see that the minimal quantity to order is 20, and if he tries to order less than 20 of any combinations, he gets an error message. Until here everything's fine. But now I need to change the minimal quantity to 50, so I went back to prestashop backoffice and I reset the minimal quantity to 50 for every combination. When the user goes to the product page, he can't order less than 50 units, this is working fine. But the text is still "minimal quantity to order for this product: 20". Why ? Because (I think) prestashop goes to the product table and looks into the minimal quantity field. So I tried to edut this value in the back office, but it seems that this field disappeared... So how can I edit this value if I don't want to directly go into the database ? I'm asking you because other people will have to manage the shop and they are not all very at ease with databases. I hope my question is clearer now... Thanks for taking the time to answer.
Scully
But the text is still "minimal quantity to order for this product: 20". You are really unbelieavable - you needed about 8 posts to bring it to the point. We are only discussing the error message text???
Scully
Spoken for 1.6.1.13 with default theme the texts are displayed correctly.
bonsaiko
It's not the error message text. This text is ok. I'm talking about the text displayed just below the title of the product, on the product page. There is a text that displays the minimal quantity for the product. And it retrieves the value from the product table. Now actually there's nothing wrong with this text either, because it actually does what it's supposed to do. But my question here is: How can I edit the value of "minimal quantity" for the product table, in the back office ? I was able to edit this value when I had no combinations. But as soon as I add a combination to the product, this field disappears from the back office. I'm sorry if I needed 8 posts, but english is not my language, so it's sometimes hard to make myself clear.
Scully
Post a screenshot if anyone else is willing to help. I am out.
bonsaiko
This is a screenshot of my backoffice, when I first create the product. As you can see, when I click on "quantity", I have this block of settings that let me indicate the minimal quantity value (and this value is stored in the product table). Now when I add a combination for this product, and when I get back to the quantity tab in the back office, I no longer have this block. Is it something happening only in my backoffice ? When you click on the quantity tab you still have this minimal quantity stuff ? Edited September 28, 2017 by bonsaiko (see edit history)
