Another option would be to turn on catalog mode. In 1.6. it is under preferences => products => catalog mode.
What if we don't wish to apply catalog mode. Note that catalog mode will not allow you to buy any product. What if we need to hide it for all products except the specific ONE product for a customer group? Any workaround or solutions for this situation? I'm using PS v1.6x.
