Allow different tax rates for multiple states for a product

Hi.

If we have multiple locations, thus requiring to charge tax for these locations on shipping, how do we go about it? Example, NJ tax is 7& while CA is 9.75%. How do we create a product that will charge either NJ or CA tax depending on the shipping zip code?

create the STATES create the zones for common taxes and edit your taxes to each specific zone

i went to payments, taxes. I can add a new tax, select the zones/states. however, it only allows me to input one tax rate for the group of zones i checked. I need it to charge tax depending on state or zone, since states have different tax rates. if i go to taxes section, I can select the country and states, but I can only specify one tax rate for the group of states.

You may specify ONE tax rate for many ZONES.

let's say three states share the same tax rate (S1 S2 and S3),

create country, create states, create ZONE S

affect states S1 S2 S3 to zone S and country x

affect taxes to ZONE S

ok so how do I use the different zones then? If I go to products, and in the TAX dropdown, I can only choose one, not multiple.
