building test shop then moving it to real shop

Hi everyone, Im setting up my products and categories in a test shop I have setted up.

 

I want to load all the items on the test shop, and then move over to the real shop via the Import and export function.

Will it be possible

Will importing mean that the images comes with, Be advised we talking about 900 items

Question 1: It's alway possible. It only depends on the way you go.

Question 2: I don't think the PrestaShop export functions would do the job. The export from the respective lists only export very basic data. But you needed more than what you get where.

 

I would run the export from the database (dumging all tables you need) and manually copying the product and eventually also category images. Eventually I would also think about making the DEVELOPMENT environment the new PRODUCTIVE server.

ok so basically copy the database from one side to another

 

and Scully what you mean by DEVELOPMENT enviromentserver

Exactey, I ment to take the TEST server and make it the PRODUCTIVE server. This instead of spending time in testing the export as well the import prodcedures.
