Disable subcategory page banner but keep thumbnail

Hi I'm currently using Prestashop 1.6.1.7. I have turn on to display subcategories.

But I would like to disable the main banner image for the subcategories but keep the thumbnail of it on the main category page. Is that possible?

With 1.6.1.13 the behavior is, banner is not displayed if I only upload thumbnail images. Once set, I guess you might have to delete all images and reload only thumbs again.

Thanks for your help. I did try what you've suggested but for reason, the thumbnail won't show. So I did a workaround. I will first upload all the sub category thumbnail image. Then go to the Main category page where it display all the subcategories thumbnail. By this point, they are all display a question mark. I have to inspect each one of them, get the thumbnail image names (which looks something like "23-tm_medium_default.jpg"). Replace my images with those names and upload/replace them to the correct folder. It's annoying but at least get what I need done.

Good you have found a workaround. I'd guess you don't use the default theme? Your problem looks like some path problem.
