[email protected]
In my customer''s order status the first thing reported is: 07/29/2016 Awaiting bank wire payment or Awaiting check payment. The problem is I don't even have the bank wire or check payment modules installed, I only accept PayPal. The date on either is from over a year ago and the status makes no sense. When I check Orders->Statuses the option to use bank wire or check are only checked for "send email to customer". Delivery and more importantly invoice are not selected for either. Interestingly an email is NOT sent to the customer reporting this status. Why does Prestashop insert these completely irrelevant statuses? Thank you Edited August 20, 2017 by [email protected] (see edit history)
Scully
The statuses mentionned are usually set by the bankwire or check module by default. However it's also possible sombody set this status manually. Indeed it's quite easy to set a wrong status unintentionally. If it has been set by module, its timestamp must be very close the the order creation timestamp. One or two seconds between the order creation and the status but not more. Otherwise it has been set by a user. However the investigation might become difficult since it's one year in the past and it's only the whole system setup at the time the status has been set which is relevant to how it has been set. So checking current order states setup is nice but must not correspond with the setup 1 year ago. Further my shop opened about 3 weeks ago.
Scully
That is a new information you just gave us. Then I'd say this is related to demo data from prestashop installation. Have you the order found for which the entry in order history is there? Look at the id_order if you searching by database.
