Product pack automatic pricing

Recommended Posts

I see that PS automatically calculates the pack price according to the products in the pack, which is great.

However, it appears tI have to manually enter a specific price for the pack anyway? On the front end product page it says, for example, "$0.00 instead of $258.00"

What I want to do is give a certain discount for the pack, like 2% off. That way I know the pack will always have the right discounted price if I change the price of individual products in the pack. Will I need a a module for this?

Can anyone help?

It's like this feature is already built into the software, and then the designers deliberately broke it by requiring me to manually specify a price for a pack instead of the automatically calculated price, and display it right next to the automatically calculated pack price.

I don't understand. What's wrong with using the calculated price, or at least basing the price off of it? Isn't that the entire point of product packs? Why else would this feature even be used?
