Footer : How to keep Powered by Prestashop but remove Information section?

Hi,

Prestashop 1.6.1.0
 

I want to only have Powered by Prestashop text at the bottom of the store page, on the footer.

I went to Modules and Services / blockcms and Configure.

 

There is nothing in the left or right blocks, everything is unticked except "Display various links and information in the footer" and "Display Powered by Prestashop in the footer"

The problem is, on the store page it still enables an information block where I don't want it, even though there is no text in the information block.

Information block to be removed : 

I can't work out where there is an option to turn off this information block either from a menu or inside a TPL file somewhere.

Please can someone shed some light on this.

I did some more checking and found the solution in previous request for the same issue.

I removed the code as shown in blockcms.tpl and forced a complication and now the information block doesn't appear.
