hastatupuerta
For the last 2 days I've been trying to fix the my back office being slow. It's not as slow as other back offices I've read about, but still makes it very uncomfortable to work in it. This is what I can see so far: https://www.screencast.com/t/GJjufSjdIKT And then when running the Symfony profile on the product page I was able to see this: https://www.screencast.com/t/eWSTpv7MOM I hope someone can help me find out what would be making it slow and how to fix it. Thanks so much!
selectshop.at
Slowness of Prestashop 1.7.2 is a known bug. See here: http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/BOOM-3551 - Developers are working on it.
hastatupuerta
Thank you! Interesting however, is that I'm looking at the demo that's hosted with 1&1, and this is not a problem on their BO demo. http://demo.prestashop.com/en/?view=back That BO is very quick and responsive, as it should be. Would the hosting provider make a difference?
selectshop.at
You should ask them. Perhaps they are not using PS 1.7.2., or they are using another/special server configuration. In real PS 1.7. is slower than PS 1.6. and this in double time, independent of server configuration.

Yes, they are running 1.7.1.2 That may explain it. http://bo.demo.prestashop.com/demo/index.php?controller=AdminInformation&token=fd9b4e414fcd1aca48900ec67ad93ef3
