Smarty Debug Mode in PS 1.7.2

Hey,

i am kinda confused. I am trying for nearly 2 hours now to enable the smarty debug mode for presta 1.7.2.

Can someone help me, please? 

What i tried so far is:

 

enabled debug mode in BO

added {debug} in some .tpl files i like to debug 

tried with the URL to add ?DEBUG_MODE

 

etc..

 

please help me

Same problem for me. I use PS 1.7.2.1.

For me it solved the problem by enabling Pop-Ups. They were blocked for some reason

You can do {$var_name|dump}

It's actually really nice, much better than {debug}
