Where does prestashop place the css files?

I am using firebug but I cannot find the css files to edit. Where does Prestashop put these files? I am hosted by cpanel. I am so confused. Thank you so much!

there are quite a number of CSS files, and if you have the CCC options enabled, they are compressed into a single CSS file.

 

I would suggest disabling the CCC option so that each individual CSS file can be located.  Then it is a matter of locating the CSS file/s you need to edit, perhaps by looking at the source of the page, or by using the element inspection built into Firefox or Chrome browsers.

Thanks for your response. I do have those disabled - thanks for the tip. Where is the theme.css and say style.css located in the backend. I am having trouble finding the actual files to modify the code within prestashop. Must I go outside prestashop to do this? Say, use FTP my updated css to cpanel hosting? 

Or can i just edit them within some prestashop css editor?

correct, you must use an FTP client or FileManager in control panel to edit the files.  There is a FileManager module floating around the forums that might work and allow you to edit your files, but I'm not aware of a dedicated CSS editor inside of Prestashop.
