uddhava
As far as i have seen you can either have shpping calculated based on weight or price ranges.
SpyrosT
You can set your shipping cost based by weight and then create your weight ranges.Set a range i.e 0.1kg - 0.5kg for zero shipping cost and set the free shipping product's weight in that range. mel-
spyrost,I tried this and it didn't work. I set a weight range of 0.1 to 1 and then set the product weight at 0.1. I then had $0.00 under the shipping charges.but, prestashop would charge $14.35 for this weight range. I then changed the shipping charge for that weight range to $0.01 and it works. but it will not work if set to $0.00.I am using 1.3.2 if that makes a difference. does anyone else know what I'm doing wrong or if I am? I'd much rather have free shipping for this product but I'll go with penny shipping if that is my only choice thanks
Scotty501
I then changed the shipping charge for that weight range to $0.01 and it works. but it will not work if set to $0.00. I am having the same issue - if I set the carrier to 0.00 it does not display - if I set it to 0.01 - it will.I use Tomers UPS module where the price is pulled through from UPS - so I dont need to set a cost for the carrier - but if I dont - then the carrier wont display - so I have to set it to $0.01 - which adds it to the cart before they select the carrier.Any fix? mel-
I never found one. I tried all different kinds of scenarios and you CAN'T set a zero shipping price as in the above persons post. it has to be a least a cent
Scotty501
Actually - I just solved it - I think.I went back to the fees - changed it to 0.00 and saved it. It worked.I think it needs soemthing type in - even if 0.00 is typed - and then saved - it works. If you just leave it as 0.00 it wont work. Make sense? pluto26
OK I seem to be still having an issue with shipping charges on items that are zero weight.I read through teh post, set up special weight ranges for 0.00 - 0.000001 lbs went into fees typesin 0.00 but when I add a product with zero weight I still get a shipping charges, seems to be the minimal for the carrier.what am I doing wrong? Maybe I just do not understand the steps I need to do correctly/Thanks
